HUSSMANN study prize goes to Stefan Humpe

Stefan Humpe has come out on top and won the 2017 HUSSMANN Student Award with his final thesis at TU Darmstadt.

In his award-winning thesis entitled “Industry 4.0 in roll forming: Calibration and use of a sensory feather key at the installation site”, Humpe dealt with the continuous monitoring of the torque on the rollers during roll forming, which has been largely lacking to date, and found an impressive solution with the design of an easily retrofittable sensory feather key
